Sabudana (Tapioca) Khichdi



INGREDIENTS

1 cup Tapioca or sabudana
1/2 cup Peanuts
3-4 Slit Green chillies
2-3 Red chillies
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 tsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Channa dal
1 pinch Hing(Asafoetida)
8-10 Fresh curry leaves
1 tbsp Oil
Salt to taste

PROCEDURE

1. Wash and soak the tapioca pearls for 2-3 hours in equal quantity of water.

2. Dry roast and coarsely grind peanuts.

3. In a round bottomed wok heat oil and splutter cumin seeds,mustard seeds,channa dal,green and red chillies,curry leaves and hing mix well on low flame.

4. Drain the tapioca free of water and add it to the above, toss for about 6-7 minutes.

5. Now the tapioca would have turned slightly translucent add salt and peanut powder toss for another 5-6 minutes,remove from flame.

Serve hot with fresh yogurt.
